About
Elizabeth Parker was born in Krakow, Poland, where she pursued her passion for art at an early age. She was accepted to Jan Matejko Academy of Fine Arts in Krakow, but life took a turn and she began raising a family with a decision to immigrate to the U.S.
While helping to support the family and raise her children in Chicago, Elizabeth never stopped painting and drawing. She established relationships with the art community and sold her work through commissions and by word of mouth. Elizabeth’s recognized talent earned her invitations to exhibit at museums, group shows, and over the years has partnered with local and national retailers. She has also worked with home stagers, interior designers, has had her work published in local publications and has taught private art lessons to both children and adults.
Elizabeth's work is best described as surrealism, realism, and modern art. Her medium of choice is acrylic, ink with pencil, oil, and watercolor. She will translate the vision for a client onto canvas, wall, and portraiture.
Currently. Elizabeth resides in Phoenix, Arizona and continues to show her work in the local art scene as well as produce pieces on commission requests.
Art Statement
My vast imagination has always been the catalyst for my unconventional approach to selecting colors and painting abstract shapes. One can feel the energy in the depth and movement when seeing my work. Like in life, my artwork results in the unexpected. I begin with a preconceived notion of how I should finish my work, but in the end, the result is not what I had imagined. My work is symbolic of the humor, re-invention, and strength that describes my journey from the life I left as a young woman in Poland to my continuous transformation as an artist.
